A child who escaped from an orphanage in order to find a mysterious stranger in a photo he has. This person would have a terrible secret to tell him. A secret that could put an end to the chaos produced by the “lougawous” (maleficent creatures who can transform anytime), the “bouskè” (trackers) and the macoutes….

On the continent called Yaiti, there was a houngan (voodoo priest) whose son was seriously ill. He appealed to Ogou, king of the loas (voodoo spirits or deities) to whom he asked for the healing of his son. He accepted in exchange for a sacrifice but he fooled the houngan whose son died despite the sacrifice made. Enraged, the houngan summoned Ogou to a duel and with the help of others dissident loas, he defeated Ogou. But the houngan died a few months later leaving behind a pregnant woman who would give birth to the first of the lougawous (monsters in Yaitian belief). This first lougawous was at the origin of the line of lougawou who spread terror in the society. Exasperated, the population appealed to courageous men who were trained to eliminate the lougawous in exchange for bounties. These men took the name of “bouskè lougawou” (lougawous hunters) and one of them stood out for his power; it was Louinel who was therefore considered the greatest of the “bouskè lougawou”.

According to the legend, his Zircos machete was so powerful that it could destroy a mountain with a single burst. Unfortunately, the macoutes who constitute the military and political organization of the continent of yaiti did not agree with the actions of the bouskè. Indeed, the macoutes wanted to use the lougawous for their wars by controlling them with a magical potion. As a result, they launched a merciless war against the bouskè who did not adhere to their visions… . They will pursue non-stop Louinel, the leader of the bouskè. The last fight between Solomon, a supercorporal of the macoutes organization and Louinel, the very powerful leader of the bouskè lougawou took place. Before this fight, Louinel knew that he is weakened by his multiple injuries. His men were dead and nothing, not even his Zircos machete, will be of any help to him during this final phase. However, he had big dreams for the future of the bouskè whom he believes to be invested with the mission of eradicating the lougawou from the surface of the globe. In a last effort, he relegates all of his power to the Zircos machete and seals it with of ancestral magic from the ancient loa in a place known only to him. He delivered his last fight, was defeated and sentenced to hang. But before being hanged, he declared: “My machete Zircos is with whoever can find it in the path of the 7 growing mountains and be worthy of it…”.

These sentences are heard by the whole world and all will start looking for the Zircos machete. The macoutes will look for it to prevent a bouskè faithful to Louinel’s memory from seizing it, becoming powerful enough to replace Louinel and thus thwart their plans. The bouskè will seek her, some for glory and others, nobler, to continue Louinel’s quest and eradicate the lougawous. Several other people belonging to neither of the first two categories will seek it for its historical value or to hold its immense power! An indescribable chaos, in short. But after 20 years, everyone was discouraged because no credible trace of the Zircos has ever been revealed. In addition, the death of Louinel upset the bouskè lougawou who either surrendered to the macoutes and became their acolytes, or continued their work of destruction of the lougawou in secret, their heads being put at a price more than ever. In all this turmoil will rise Petit, a child who escaped from an orphanage in order to find a mysterious stranger in a photo he has. She would have a terrible secret to tell him. A secret that could put an end to the chaos produced by the lougawous, the bouskè and the macoutes….
